Our Sustainability approach is key to responsibly managing the interests of our wholesale fund investors and joint venture partners (known as our ‘strategic partners’) over the long term. It is also an important lever in gaining access to capital through our wholesale funds platform, and delivering sustainable returns for our fund investors. Our goal is to become a partner of choice, especially with those who share similar sustainability ambitions and demonstrate the value we bring as a leading retail property manager.
Throughout the year, we engage with our strategic partners to ensure that key programs under our Sustainability Strategy and other joint sustainability initiatives are implemented at our co-owned and/or managed centres.
We provide our joint venture partners with quarterly reports to inform them of asset performance and initiatives being implemented with regards to environmental efficiency and community investment. We also respond to their annual information requests from our wholesale fund investors related to corporate and asset level environmental, social and governance policies, practices and performance.
Additionally, we engage our strategic partners through materiality reviews that we conduct every two years to understand their views on material long-term ESG issues for Vicinity and how we can respond to mutual issues of interest for our respective organisations.
