In FY18 our goal was to create an awesome place to work and support a highly engaged team that is passionate and inspired. Our people and culture approach focused on four strategic pillars:

  • shaping our organisation.

Vicinity encourages both real time and agile working practices for our people which provides a flexible work setting and supports a more efficient and effective workplace to enable greater connection and collaboration amongst Vicinity teams.

Our people

We continue to shape our organisation to ensure we are well placed to respond to an evolving retail and economic landscape.

To support our Group strategic focus of creating market-leading destinations and realising mixed use opportunities, this year, we focused on building our data and insights and property development (including mixed-use) capabilities to drive better development, leasing and operational decisions and unlock additional potential in our portfolio.

As a result we hired over 260 new people at Vicinity during FY18, primarily in the areas of digital, data analytics, development and leasing.
