Health and wellbeing continued to be a major focus for Vicinity in FY18. Vicinity’s wellbeing program supports our team members to achieve better work-life balance outcomes and lead happy healthy lives.
The program covers a number of aspects important to overall health and wellbeing, and focuses specifically on five elements – mental health, physical health, nutrition, financial health and physical activity. Vicinity offers a range of corporate discounts and services to our people across these five focus areas. As part of the program, we have implemented comprehensive health checks for all executives and senior leaders, and offer free services such as skin checks, flu vaccinations, mental health seminars and corporate massages to all employees.
During FY18, we introduced Vicinity Care Corporate, a new program which aims to support the various personal caring needs of our team members and their families, depending on age or stage of life they are in, and helping them to navigate life’s shifting circumstances. The program provides team members with access to a parental leave support program and comprehensive online resources that range from childcare and emergency care, teenage care and support, senior and retirement care, including assistance in sourcing and securing appropriate care.
A number of other company benefits additionally support our wellbeing program, such as flexible working arrangements and a variety of leave options to help employees balance personal and professional responsibilities.
