Employee engagement is a key driver of our business’ success. We survey our people annually to understand their views on our organisation and use the resulting insights to constantly improve the way we operate to ensure Vicinity continues to be a great place to work.
In April 2017, we completed our second employee engagement survey as Vicinity and were pleased with the high number of respondents wanting to give feedback on our culture and workplace, with 89 per cent of our people participating in the survey.
Our overall engagement score improved by 5 percentage points to 71 per cent compared to the previous year.
Our employees rated us highly in our approach to safety, diversity and inclusion, company direction, our identity and our social connection. Pleasingly 82 per cent of our people said they were proud to work at Vicinity and 81 per cent would recommend Vicinity as a great place to work.
We also made notable improvements on key focus areas identified following last years’ survey, including feedback and recognition, learning and development, collaboration and leadership.
We have team-level engagement action plans across the business to respond to the survey outcomes and to drive improved employee engagement across the organisation.
