Employee engagement is a key driver of our business’ success. We survey our people annually to understand their views on our organisation and use the resulting insights to constantly improve the way we operate to ensure Vicinity continues to be a great place to work.
In April 2018, we completed our third employee engagement survey and were pleased with the high number of respondents wanting to give feedback on our culture and workplace, with 86% of our people participating in the survey.
Our overall engagement score improved by 2 percentage points to 73% compared to the previous year.
Our employees rated us highly in our approach to diversity and inclusion, company direction, alignment with our purpose, and our identity. Pleasingly 82% of our people said they were proud to work at Vicinity and 81% would recommend Vicinity as a great place to work.
We also made notable improvements on key focus areas identified following last years’ survey, including feedback and recognition, learning and development, and work-life balance.
We have team-level engagement action plans across the business to respond to the survey outcomes and which are updated annually to drive improved employee engagement across the organisation.
